We have a large body of PHEM Consultants at Oxford and offer subspecialty training in Prehospital Emergency Medicine with our partner Thames Valley Air Ambulance (TVAA). Entry is either via the national selection pathway for CCT doctors (IBTPHEM) or directly via TVAA for any doctor (including non-CCT trainees) via NHS jobs.
We have a well established body of PEM Consultants at Oxford and offer subspecialty training in Paediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) for national CCT trainees. For more information, contact moya.dawson@ouh.nhs.uk
We have a long and proud history of training doctors via the CESR pathway and helping them get GMC specialty accreditation, with many former trainees staying on as Consultants in Emergency Medicine in our region and our own hospital. Trainees work in the Emergency Department but are given secondments in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, Paediatric Emergency Medicine and Acute General Medicine; supervision; access to training courses and training funds; and help with both RCEM exams and paperwork for accreditation. These fellowships are regularly advertised on NHS jobs.
