The EMROx team aims to foster, develop and promote Emergency Medicine research activity in Oxford, and has expanded since its inception to run a large portfolio of studies. EMROx seeks to actively promote the development and accreditation of skills related to research in the ED workforce, e.g. GCP training, and encourages the active participation of clinicians working in the ED in study administration and recruitment of participants.

Alexis completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Philippines and was awarded Clinical Excellence in Nursing.
She joined Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2002.
In 2013 she joined the Emergency Department Research Team. Since then,
she has earned her Postgraduate Diploma in Health Care and Research Management from Oxford Brookes University.

Vishakha is a Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine at OUH and joined the EMROx team in 2020. As an EMROx Research Fellow she led a Cochrane Review of Pharmacological Agents in Resuscitation of Bleeding Trauma Patients. She has a keen interest in Trauma & Resuscitation Research.
She is currently a co-investigator in 2 Major Trauma studies while continuing to support other clinical trials running within the OUH Emergency Department.

Deon is a consultant in in the Emergency Departments of OUH.
In early 2023 he received NIHR funding to complete the Greenshoots programme. As a member of the EMROx team he has contributed to the delivery of research at OUH, both as PI and through involvement with the EMROx PPI group. As a member of the RCEM mental health subcommittee, Deon has a particular interest in developing mental health research in emergency medicine.

The University of Oxford
David is a Clinical Lecturer in Emergency Medicine at the University of Oxford having previously been a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard Medical School and Hunterian Professor of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
He currently holds an NIHR Advanced Fellowship at the University of Oxford where he is based at Wolfson College. His research interests lie in national clinical audit, health policy evaluation, evidence synthesis, and clinical risk prediction.

Nick is a RCPCH-trained Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine with special interests in Clinical Research, Medical Education, Point of Care Ultrasound, Child Safeguarding, and Quality Improvement. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Oxford University and a Teaching Associate at Green-Templeton College, Oxford. In his spare time he can be found holding either a saxophone or a badminton racquet.
